Sew-East’s ‘I  Brick Lane

Sew-East is a programme that supports business development within the Tower Hamlets clothing sector. Sew-East has assisted the following
businesses, whose fashion collections they’ll
present in a spectacular fashion show:
Aarong, Dragana Perisic, Samson Soboye,
Esinn-Soong, Emporiana, Born in 72, Tiamo Designs
and much much more.

Expect a gorgeous mixture of leather, silk, sumptuously beaded outfits, 50’s pin-up style lingerie.

The Fashion Show is a vehicle to market the creative vision of Sew East, supported by EMEP, ERDF and SBS Phoenix Funding. Sew-East is unique in its support as it provides a one-stop shop of fashion counselling, training, business development, financial support and specialist advice and guidance. The programme is second to none and this year’s show focuses on the support it has given to ethnic minority & east end based designers.

The fashion show is part of the Brick Lane Festival. Thousands will flock to Brick Lane on Sunday 11th September for its tenth annual Festival. The East End’s most famous street is inviting visitors from London and beyond to share and enjoy the global mix of top world music acts, food, culture, fashion and design which make up what is fast becoming recognised as the East London’s equivalent to Notting Hill and one of London’s most exciting street parties. Sew-East’s show will be raising money for Oxfam GB. Oxfam GB is a development, relief, and campaigning organisation that works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world. We are also supporting the Sickle Cell Society -The Sickle Cell Society believes that every sickle cell sufferer has the right to quality care. Sickle Cell Disorders are a group of genetic diseases that affect the red blood cells of people with the condition. They can cause bouts of extreme pain and can cause permanent damage to many different organs.
